What’s an adolescent session like?
From 12 years old

Françoise Dolto once described adolescents as “lobster” molting 🦞.

They’ve shed their first skin and are going through a period of great vulnerability before producing their new skin.

Why come see me?

If your child feels bad about him/herself, has relationship difficulties, is shy, doesn't like school, has mood swings, is aggressive, stressed about exams, has trouble managing his/her emotions, struggles to take action, shows signs of self-doubt, can't get organized, feels rejected, has OCD, eating disorders, etc.

How can I help him or her?

The aim of my support is to allow him/her to reconnect with their body and feelings, to develop their creativity and accept what’s special about them and their uniqueness. That way he/she can do some self-rebuilding and reaffirmation in a safe environment.

What if he/she doesn’t talk much?

It’s no problem as the body quickly tells all through the muscle testing I use.

PLEASE NOTE: They must want to come and not feel as though their back is up against a wall. Explain what I do and the reason for coming. Talk about it together: a well-prepared session gets the best results. Be reassuring, but don’t force them. It’s better to let things settle and postpone the appointment than to bring someone in who’s not ready or receptive.

I often use Brain Gym techniques in my sessions with children and adolescents. The exercises we do release the learning abilities blocked by all the stress and uncertainty that a new task brings.

Children who know how to mobilize their two brain hemispheres and better associate the body and the brain are more open, receptive and curious about their environment.

They can simultaneously express themselves, write creatively, listen and think at the same time, have their own experiences and flourish. The exercises used during our session and at home put the body into action (eyes, ears, muscles...) through postures based on natural movements.

It’s all quite fun!

1. Welcome and Anamnesis

Let’s get to know each other!

The beginning of the session is a privileged moment of exchange so we can get to know each other. You’ll explain the reasons for coming and your family atmosphere and I’ll explain what I do. Then, I’ll start the individual session with your child. We’ll define a session goal together which takes into account what he/she wishes to change in their life. Establishing a clear, positive and active goal is essential to bringing meaning and direction to the session. The goal may not be what you had in mind, but it’s important to go at your child’s pace.

2. Body rebalancing

For a gentle and in-depth transformation, I believe it’s essential to start by rebalancing and strengthening the body, the centre of all memories. For the rest of the session, he/she will lie down on a massage table. With muscle testing, I get an energy report to be able to find the energy imbalances and states of stress related to the goal being worked on during the session. I then apply rebalancing protocols, mostly from Chinese medicine and new neuro-science techniques, to boost their system.

3. Release of the blockage from the past

Once the body has been boosted, I’ll start looking for the source of the blockage. At what age was the emotion caused? Releasing the old to bring in the new.

4. Anchoring and integration

To finish up, I re-test the balancing and release protocols that were initially “weak” so the body can become aware of the before and after: all tests must come out strong by the end of the session!

And in order to reinforce the integration work, ongoing support in the comfort of your home:

- With your consent, I send him/her a recap of the session via WhatsApp so they can fully understand the work done during the session.

- I prepare a personalized bottle of Bach Flowers for him/her during the session so the emotional release achieved can be maintained.

- I select an essential oil and give it to him/her in an inhaler to keep in their pocket for a little olfactory comfort. They love them!

- I suggest one or two Brain Gym exercises to do at home to strengthen their mental clarity, alleviation and inner change.

They’re all obviously suggestions; nothing is mandatory. The most important thing is to maintain their motivation!

Rates and support

A kinesiology session for an adolescent usually lasts about 45 minutes (1h15 for the first session).

The number of sessions depends on the goal and his/her own personal story as every individual is unique. A soon as he/she feel good and self-confident, we stop!

Just a few sessions are often enough. Sessions are normally spaced out every 2 to 3 weeks which corresponds to the “integration period”.

Price: 70€
